Personality Highlights–How Can ENFP Achieve Happiness and Health?

You get energized by interacting with others, seeing patterns and meaning in the outer world, and coming up with new ways for living your life, completing tasks, or doing anything. You can achieve healthy habits through exploring new and varied methods and possibilities.

Turn to a coach or buddy to help you to brainstorm and explore solutions to problems and alternative action plans. But then you need to make sure you take time to reflect on your motivation for change based on what is personally important.

Consider the good possibilities you see for yourself when you succeed with this habit change? What will life be like? Use that vision to inspire you. How does your plan fit with what is most meaningful to you? What connection or pattern do you see between the health habit you are building and other important goals, such as improving a relationships?

Once you start a new health habit plan, assure enough interaction with others during the activities in the plan to fuel your energy for sustaining the habit. Keep your schedule open within broad parameters. Not only do you need an unscheduled plan, but also, more than many other personalities, your personality benefits from variety. Identify different ways to achieve the same basic set of physical activity and healthy eating guidelines—new recipes, activities that allow you to explore new vistas, for example.

If you find set backs along the way, make sure you have enough flexibility and spontaneity in your plan. Use your creative skills to develop new ways to get back on track. Reaffirm what you value about your plan.
